Is Your Vehicle Battery Fully Charged?

No one wants to be stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery. But, since batteries don't last forever, this may happen to you one day. If your battery has been giving signs of trouble, then you may want to test it to avoid this scenario.

To test the vehicle battery, you will need either a digital or analog voltmeter. Both are fine, but the digital one gives a more accurate reading. First, make sure the ignition and vehicle lights are off. Place the positive test cable tip on the positive battery terminal. Then, do the same with the negative test cable and negative battery terminal. If the reading is below 12.4, then the battery is bad.

If your vehicle battery reading indicated that your battery is not fully charged, bring it in to Napleton's Schaumburg Mazda for our technicians to test. If necessary, we can provide you with a new battery for your vehicle.
