The Mazda5 Slides to the Top of the Minivan List

Looking for something practical and safe for your family that's also fun to drive? Doesn't seem like that'd be an easy combination to find, does it? Well, according to U.S. News, the Mazda5 is one of the Best Cars of 2012.

The 2012 2012 Mazda5 ranks third of the eight minivans that rank as some of the best in 2012. Even though it's one of the smallest minivans available today, it delivers some of the best performance, safety and reliability. And it's anything but a "mom car."

Affordability is just one of the impressive features of the Mazda5. It's also powerful (2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 157 horsepower); safe (standard stability and traction control); filled to the brim with fun features (Moonroof and audio package, six-CD changer, leather steering wheel and Bluetooth availability); and impressively designed (room for six passengers, three available trim levels, sleek exterior and interior).

In a recent review from the industry experts at Edmunds,  the editors note, ""Some automakers may boast that their minivans or SUV's 'handle like a car,' but the Mazda5 actually does. In fact, it handles like a really good car."1 That means, even if you live in a tight urban area, you'll have no trouble maneuvering through busy streets with all of your kids and even your furry friends in tow.
